Made During the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic
As we’ve traveled this journey together, through an uncertain and troubling time, it has been heartwarming to see many colleagues, former and current students, family, and friends, all making music and posting recordings online to share the gifts of music and faith.
Since my daughter and I both have positions with churches, much of what follows is a result of our efforts to continue providing music ministry to our respective congregations.
These have all been made quite simply, using an iPhone or iPad for recording, and no audio editing. Perhaps some day we will have the time, equipment, and expertise to redo them at a higher level. The desire for “perfection” in production and performance has, for me, been a deterrent to doing anything like this before now. Our current circumstances have helped me to let go of those feelings.
